I am in 100% agreement with you WhiskeyDP.
Advanced Industry skill (reduce manufacturing time even further). Advanced Mass Production skill (increase useable factories past 6) --could be broken down into two skills, much like the market skills were: Logistics (+2 Factories per level) and Advanced Logistics (+4 Factories per level) Advanced Science skill (reduce BP copying time) Advanced Lab Operations Skill (increase useable labs past 6) Advanced Metallurgy (reduce Material Level research) Advanced Research (reduce Productivity Level research) -->Sig |

nope... i am not a production guy tho so i dont know... but i'd rather have stuff build faster then just have more slots used so that newer peeps have a chanse at using them as well but if there was 100 slots in every station....  
There are plenty of slots to be had...I have yet to use one that costs more than 40k, and that is across many alts producing.
At maximum production capacity, you can only support producing from 3 T2 BPOs at a time (building the T1 component and the T2 component) without the use of other alts/methods. T2 and especially Capital Components/Ships take a long time to produce, and so, you are very limited in what you can produce.
For instance, the freighter takes just under 12 days to produce one ship. That is 12 days that you have lost a slot for producing other stuff. If you have the BPOs for the required components (as several of the Capital ship producers do) and build all of your own components for the ships, that requires 5 total factory slots (4 for the components and 1 for the actual ship). That leaves you a grand total of 1 remaining slot to build something else with, most likely a T2 item to generate at least a little bit of money while you wait.
Even if you could build items 50% faster, you would still use the same number of slots. Whereas if we could get additional slots, our other items could be built, allowing us to generate more equipment capable of being sold. Capital Ships Production Forum |
